Cello in Bloom

Cello in Bloom came as a result of a long lasting relationship between me and my cello. I’ve come from a family of classical cellists and the sound of multiple cellos for me evokes unity, connection and love. It always puzzled me why the sound of cello is so rarely explored in other musical genres and after years of playing classical music myself, I felt called to explore it.
Berlin, my base and my home offered ways to play with many talented musicians, be curious and have fun with the instrument in entirely new ways.
Through these explorations, improvisations, and waves of emotions, I came to the sound that is unique and resonant with who I am. Now I release a piece of me into the world, for you.
An exploration of the subtle qualities of the natural world through my love for the cello- inspired by classical, liberated from genre. I experiment with looping and layering different coats of cello sounds, staying close to instrument’s innate acoustic qualities. The cello has the range most similar to that of the human voice, more so than any other musical instrument, and I find it perfectly suited for expressing the intricacies of the human experience. Each song is meant to pull you into a distinct nature scene, thoroughly capturing the emotions and details present in it, telling a story through dreamlike instrumentation.
